Thank you for your support of the 25th Edition of World Partnership Walk in Edmonton. We look forward to seeing you at this year's Walk which will take place on Sunday, May 31 at the Legislature Grounds starting at 10:30 am.
Listed below you will find some key information for this year’s Walk.
New Route: We are excited to announce that there will be a new 8.5 km route through the scenic river valley. It is fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, however there is a challenging portion following the rest stop. Transportation for those with special needs will be available at the rest stop. Sturdy footwear is highly recommended.
Fun Run: This year will mark the first ever Fun Run in Edmonton. All participants who are interested in running instead of walking the 8.5 km route will be able to register as runners on site at the Legislature Grounds. All participants are encouraged to run. Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners. So put on your running shoes and come out and do the Run or the Walk.
Global Village: The Global Village provides an interactive display that showcases, through images, audio and stories, the many ways in which Canada and Canadians are supporting long-term, positive change among impoverished communities in Asia and Africa.
Entertainment Highlights: Enjoy a fun-filled day along with 91.7 The Bounce, 104.9 EZ Rock and CISN Country 103.9. Performers will include the Edmonton Eskimo Cheer Team, the Unique School of Dance, the Knock School of Irish Dance, E-Town Salsa, and many others.
