Walk Day FAQs

  • This year’s Toronto World Partnership Walk event will be held at Downsview Park, near Keele Street & Sheppard Avenue West.
  • Festival Terrace (25 Carl Hall Road) will serve as the main event site. It is an open field with relatively flat terrain.
  • Please note that all activities will be taking place outdoors, in open areas. There will be tents on site, but be ready to celebrate and spend the day outside, rain or shine!
  • Car: While the main address for Downsview Park is officially 70 Canuck Avenue, we would recommend navigating to Festival Terrace at 25 Carl Hall Road. There will be signage to direct you to the event parking lot.
  • Subway: Downsview Park Station is located on the north side of the Park and is approximately a 15-minute walk to Festival Terrace. Visit https://www.ttc.ca/trip-planner to plan your trip.
  • GO Transit: GO Trains are a fast and convenient way to get to Downsview Park Station. Visit www.gotransit.com for train schedules and more information.
  • Buses: The Park is transit accessible with multiple buses stopping right at the Park entrances.
  • The Upper Parking Lot (just east of John Drury Drive) is the only parking lot for events at Downsview Park. Consider carpooling if you can!
  • Parking is $15/vehicle. There are approximately 1200 spots that are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Staff will be on site to help with wayfinding and traffic management.
  • The Toronto Walk route will follow Circuit Path, a six-metre-wide paved pathway that can accommodate strollers, walkers and runners. You can choose to complete a single loop of 2.7km, or double up and do it again. There are gentle grade changes, and seating areas periodically along the path.
  • Note: Circuit Path is fully accessible and AODA compliant. Motorized accessibility devices are allowed if operated under 20 km/h.
  • There will be a drinking water station on site. Please remember to bring your reusable water bottles!
  • Food trucks and other vendors will offer a variety of options for lunch, drinks, and dessert after the Walk.
  • All dogs must be kept on a leash, except when inside of the off-leash dog park, Dogsview Park. This enclosed area is inside of Circuit Path.
  • There will be a washroom trailer and accessible portable toilets at Festival Terrace.
  • A few public washrooms are also available at Orchard Pavilion, approximately halfway along the Walk route.
