Location Change: Toronto Walk Day

For many years, David Pecaut Square has been at the heart of Toronto’s World Partnership Walk, and we deeply appreciate all the support that has made these events such a success. As we look toward 2025, we’re thrilled to share exciting news: this year’s Walk is moving to a brand-new location—Downsview Park!

Downsview brings a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere—mirroring the spirit of other Walk locations across Canada.

This change opens a world of possibilities! Downsview Park allows us to create a more accessible experience with open green spaces, easy transit access, plenty of parking, and a well-planned walk route that encourages connection with nature.

While we know that the downtown location has its appeal, it also has a growing list of deterrents.  Ongoing construction, major road closures, and city permitting challenges have made it no longer feasible to host the Walk downtown.

We’ve chosen to focus on creating an extraordinary Walk experience in this fresh, new setting, rather than navigating unpredictable obstacles.
