The Edmonton World Partnership Walk is back this spring! Join us at Legislature Grounds on Sunday, June 1, 2025, and step forward with passionate Canadians dedicated to fighting global poverty. If you can’t join us on Walk Day, you can still participate by walking anywhere with your team, friends, and family. Together, let’s show the world we are there for them!

World Partnership Walk Edmonton - FAQs

Where is the Edmonton Walk taking place?

The Walk will be held at the Alberta Legislature Grounds. Please note that this is an outdoor event. While there will be some tents for shelter, the event will take place rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available on-site. When you arrive, simply follow the directions provided by our friendly volunteers to find a spot.

How long is the walk route?

The main walking route will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete. A shorter 1 km route is also available, which takes about 10 to 20 minutes—making it perfect for families with young children, individuals using wheelchairs, or anyone looking for a lighter option.

What food will be available?

Enjoy a delicious selection of food including BBQ burgers, chips, salad, and corn. Drinks and ice cream will also be available for purchase. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle, as we’ll have water stations on site.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are welcome—just make sure they are kept on a leash at all times.

Will there be washrooms on-site?

Yes, there will be multiple washrooms and hand-washing stations available throughout the Legislature Grounds for your convenience.
