This year the Walk is virtual, and we invite you to Step Forward to contribute to the fight against global poverty! Challenge yourself, your family, or your team to take steps and get active this fall.
As part of the campaign, we’re taking you on a virtual voyage to discover Aga Khan Foundation Canada’s work first-hand and to give you a taste of the field without leaving home. On this journey, you will meet women and men who are stepping forward to lead change in their communities – thanks to the steps we are taking here in Canada.
There will also be physical challenges to get you moving and incentives to keep the fundraising energy up until we reach the Homecoming Celebration on December 5th!

The 2021 experience

Walk, run, or move and use our free app to track your activity. There will be challenges to help you stay active along the way!
3. Fundraise.
Reach out to your network and raise funds to help fight global poverty.
4. See the impact.
Digitally visit four countries on the Virtual Voyage and share highlights with your network.
5. Celebrate.
Join us on December 5 for our virtual celebration event.
The impact
The funds raised through the Walk will support Aga Khan Foundation Canada’s wide range of activities to reduce poverty in Africa and Asia. This includes programs to improve health care, education, and gender equality. These programs have adapted to respond to the effects of the pandemic, from establishing COVID-19 treatment centres and training healthcare workers to ensuring students can continue to learn during lockdowns.
By signing up as a participant or donating, you will contribute to this critical work during a time when the world needs us the most.
